Sun Prairie Rotary initiated the Sun Prairie's Service Above Self Awards in 2001.  Criteria utilizes Rotary’s motto of "Service Above Self" and "The Four Way Test".  Rotary’s motto, "Service above Self" exemplifies the humanitarian spirit of the organization’s members.  Strong fellowship among Rotarians and meaningful community and international service projects characterize Rotary worldwide.  Rotarian’s nominate individuals in the community who exemplify the principles.

Jeff Tubs

🌟 Jeff Tubbs has devoted countless hours to improving the lives of others through his service with Sunshine Place, the Sun Prairie Education Foundation, United Way of Dane County, and the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation. His leadership in expanding Sunshine Place will have a lasting impact by helping meet the growing needs of families in our community. Jeff's commitment to education, health care, and food security has made Sun Prairie stronger for everyone.

Scott Kugler

🌟 Scott Kugler is being honored as he retires after more than 20 years as the City of Sun Prairie's principal planning and development official. Scott's vision, passion, and thoughtful leadership have helped shape nearly every major development project in our city. His dedication has left a lasting legacy, making Sun Prairie an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
 

Lorie Candelmo

 
🌟 Lorie Candelmo has spent more than 25 years giving back to Sun Prairie with incredible energy and enthusiasm. From supporting our schools, Chamber of Commerce, museums, and nonprofits to volunteering with Sunshine Place, Meals on Wheels, Corn Fest, DECA, Neighborhood Navigators, and countless other organizations, Lorie's passion for serving others is woven into everything she does. Her willingness to step up whenever help is needed has touched every corner of our community.
 

McKinley Peck

 
🌟 McKinley Peck, also a Sun Prairie High School student, is being recognized for her outstanding compassion, leadership, and service. From supporting special needs students and families in crisis through organizations like Shelter from the Storm and Ronald McDonald House to raising awareness for suicide prevention and pancreatic cancer, McKinley has made a meaningful impact. As a founding member of the Green Bandana Club and a leader in Mental Health Awareness Week and the Dane County Mental Health Symposium, she exemplifies what it means to care for others and live the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.
 

Devin Willis

🌟 Devin Willis, a student at Sun Prairie High School, has already demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to serving others. As a member of the Student School Board and an active volunteer throughout the community, Devin consistently goes above and beyond to make a positive difference. His leadership and dedication show that the future of our community is in great hands.
