The Sun Prairie Rotary was established in 1961 by a group of businessmen, many of whom were Lions at the time. The signature fundraiser, the Pancake Feast, was initiated in that inaugural year.

Today, the Sun Prairie Rotary comprises 40-45 members from the Sun Prairie community. These members collaborate on community and international projects aimed at improving the quality of life for many. Their service projects encompass a wide range of initiatives, including providing scholarships for high school students, assisting high school AcaDec competitors with interviewing skills, organizing a meal and volunteers for the community Sunshine Supper, raising funds for the global eradication of polio, and helping to spread peace and conflict resolution through High School Youth Exchange program.

Sun Prairie Rotarians are always eager to assist with various community events, such as Firemen's Open House, Sunshine Supper, and initiatives aimed at preserving the Prairie Marsh.
